Massage Therapy
Therapeutic massage is a form of communication; a silent speech of the hands of the therapist that is transferred to the body of the client. It is a gentle signal to tell the body that it is okay to relax its muscles and tendons, and to release stress from its body and mind.
Massage is an integral part of stress management. Clinical tests show that during massage, endorphins are released from the skin into the body. This rush of endorphins strengthens the lymph and immune system and normalizes blood pressure. Some of the many benefits of massage are to improve muscle tone, alleviate pain in the joints and muscles, and to relax tight muscles caused by mental, emotional and physical stress. Massage calms and soothes the emotions and promotes a feeling of inner peace.
Swedish Massage:
Swedish massage is soothing and medicinal; long strokes toward the heart encourage blood flow and increase oxygenation of the blood. It also balances the body's hormones and increases endorphin levels in the brain.

Pregnancy Massage:
This therapeutic massage focuses on the needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of the childbirth experience: pregnancy, birth and postpartum. The massage relieves stress on weight-bearing joints, assists in maintaining proper posture, reduces swelling and provides emotional support. We have support pillows for your comfort.

Hot Stone Massage:
This therapy is becoming widely known for its deeply relaxing benefits. It employs a technique that uses smooth, heated basalt stones, which are placed on specific acupressure points on the body to melt away knots, tension and stress.

Detox and Body Contouring Massage

Japanese Treatments
Reiki:
Reiki (ray-key) is a Japanese word meaning "Universal life energy".
During a Reiki treatment, the practitioner's hands are lightly placed on or above the client's clothed body to administer a gentle, but effective treatment. The healing energy is gentle and non-invasive and helps stimulate the client's own inner energy flow. Its beneficial effects include reduction of stress, release of pain or discomfort, relaxation, and awareness. Reiki can be a treatment that stands alone, or you may combine it with a massage of your choice.

Foot Reflexology:
Reflexology is the study and practice of gently pressing reflex points on the feet with specific hand and finger techniques to relax corresponding parts of the body. The body can then return to a state of equilibrium or homeostasis, where circulation flows unimpeded and organs function normally. Reflexology is wonderful for people who are contraindicated for massage or other forms of bodywork. Many of my reflexology clients are diabetic or have some other form of circulation problems. It is very effective for tight or cramped feet and legs.
Our foot reflexology treatment involves a combination of reflexology and moisture balance for the feet. You can customize your aromatherapy fragrance if you wish, or you can use our selection.
